      What are Sun Prints?
Sun Printing (also known as sun painting or heliographic art) is a process where photo-sensitive fabric paints are applied to moistened fabric. Leaves, flowers, feathers, shells, stencils, or other objects are placed onto the wet, painted fabric. The fabric is then placed in the sun where the rays and heat set the color on the portion of the fabric that is exposed
. The shadows of the objects are imprinted on the fabric.

Mary uses only 100% cotton fabric; usually 230 count sateen or 100% silk for her creations.
                              SunPrint Care
SUNSational Sun Prints are created with paints, not dyes. The colors have been heat set, and are washable, however, hand washing or dry cleaning are recommended to reduce the chance of fading.
Mary primarily uses Setacolor Transparent Paints from Pebeo.
